SpotOn! Press Software: Spot

SpotOn!™ Spot is a tool that facilitates tracking of standard and custom spot colors. It provides a comparison to customer reference colors and displays deviation of the printed color from the reference. Custom tolerances can be set for individual colors and/or customer requirements.

Spot improves quality control for spot colors by showing the optimum density to run the spot color and how close that color is to the reference color. If a change in density will not achieve a match within tolerance, it indicates the color formula needs to be adjusted to achieve a closer match.

SpotOn! Spot stores measurements in a database that can be filtered and searched, so any recorded data can be recalled when needed. It runs on both Mac and Windows operating systems and can be purchased as a stand-alone product or added as a module to the SpotOn! Base package. When added to the Base package the features are extended to include detailed trend analysis of collected data. Trend reports can be produced to help ensure the device being monitored stays within established tolerances.
